Please write if you (or if you are a family member) of the 739th Field Battalion. My Dad is gone many years, 11/84, but I still remember his strong attachment and respect for his fellow soldiers during those war years. In June 1994 there was a ceremony at Camp Shanks (Orangeburg, NY) and at the pier in Piermont. My Dad's name is engraved on a plaque at the Camp Shanks Museum. Ironically, I live in this area and walk the Hudson River pier in Piermont where he and so many others left for the ETO. I miss him and keep alive in my heart the memory of that time in our history. Remembering on Memorial Day
