My dad was a simple peace loving man from Kemper County, Mississippi. Obviously, he witnessed many things in his service with the BTRY B 738th FA in the latter part of 1944 and was discharged I belive on 10 July 1946.

My dad passed away 10/19/03. Dad never boasted or overstated his contribution to the war effort however, I have a tin of black and white photos which would suggest that the 738th saw their share of action. I have many fond memories of my dad talking about the experiences that he had while in central Europe and the Rhineland.

I have heard my dad speak of a fellow soldier with the last name of Pennitzer from somwwhere up on the east coast.

If anyone has any information on my dad please e-mail me.

We are quickly loosing a generation that made contributions to our country that current soldiers can only dream about.
