My father was Wilbert E. Lamb. His S.N. was 32734485. He served with the "A" Battery of the 256 FA BN.
One of the things that he brought home from the ETO was this great map that shows the route that the 256 took from their arrival in Glasgow to their departure from Stuttgart. They were there from 6/22/44 until 6/22/45, and worked with the 3rd, 9th, and 7th Armies. The map was "Reproduced by the 3060 Engr. Topo. Co."
I recently had this map framed. I have also taken digital pictures of it that I would be proud to share with anyone who is interested (if you know how to post the photos here on the Message Board, let me know.)
